The Wheatleys is a vacation rental house on Galiano Island - located across from Whaler Bay on Galiano Island - the hidden jewel of the Gulf Islands, British Columbia, Canada. Less than an hour by ferry from the Vancouver mainland. Galiano Island is the first ferry stop enroute to the Gulf Islands.

Guests have a choice of two types accommodations:

1. Four bedroom vacation rental house
2. Cozy vacation rental cottage

The Wheatleys is a vacation rental house and cottage ideally suited to accommodate singles, couples, families, groups and retreats. Everyone is welcome including your pets. We are open year round. Daily, weekly and monthly rates are available.

The Wheatleys is conveniently located close to the Sturdies Bay ferry dock, galleries, shops, beaches and markets. Kayakers and guests arriving by boat may use our private dock. The Wheatleys will make your trip to the island a memorable one.

Situated on beautifully landscaped property, there are two separate self-contained heritage style accommodations, a four bedroom house and a two bedroom cottage. The vacation rental house offers four comfortable bedrooms, including a roof-top gazebo, two full bathrooms (one with a cedar sauna), a modern, well equipped kitchen, a spacious living room with TV/VCR and stereo, and a tasteful dining area.

There is also a south facing deck for your evening barbecue, and the old-fashioned porch with wicker is perfect for relaxation and enjoying the surrounding woodlands. Lawn badminton and childrens' play equipment are part of the large garden area - perfect for adults as well as children and pets. Make your reservations today.

The bedroom skylights in the vacation rental cottage offer sunshine by day & star gazing at night. You can enjoy a view of Whalers Bay from the sunroom, which expands into the kids sleeping quarters. A modern kitchen, open living room with skylights, and an outside deck for barbecuing & relaxing completes the picture.

Swimming, fishing, and beach combing are just three of the countless past times to enjoy at the many beaches. Golf, cycling, hiking, and horseback riding are some of the other activities that await you on Galiano. Your hosts will be delighted to assist you in making arrangements for kayak, bicycle rental, catamaran and fishing boat charters.
