Galiano Island is the first ferry stop enroute to the Gulf Islands with the ferry from Tsawwassen (on Vancouver mainland).

Driving instructions from Vancouver:

1. South on Oak Street to Highway 99
2. Highway 99 to Highway 17
3. Southwest on Highway 17 to the Tsawwassen ferry terminal

• Total estimated driving time: about 30 minutes depending on traffic conditions.

Driving instructions from Vancouver International Airport:

1. Look for destination signs leaving the airport terminal and follow Highway 99 South to Highway 17
2. Follow Highway 17 to the Tsawwassen ferry terminal

• Total estimated driving time: about 20 minutes depending on traffic conditions.

Driving instructions from Seattle:

1. I-5 North to the Canadian border
2. In British Columbia, I-5 becomes Highway 99
3. Highway 99 to Highway 10
4. West on Highway 10 to Highway 17
5. Southwest on Highway 17 to the Tsawwassen ferry terminal

• Total estimated driving time: about 2 hrs 30 minutes depending on traffic conditions.

Driving Instructions from the Fraser Valley (Chilliwack):

1. Highway 1 westbound to Fort Langley
2. Take Exit 66 to Highway 10
3. Highway 10 west to highway terminus at Highway 17
4. Left on Highway 17 to Tsawwassen ferry terminal

    Swartz Bay ferry terminal is located 20 miles/32 kms north of
    Victoria at the end of Highway 17.
